Dr. C had a few things to say about DNA evidence and the Gilgo Beach murders, focusing on 'discarded DNA' to solve cases on Scripps News' Morning Rush.

Questions remain, beside the obvious utility in this and many other cases (such as the Golden Gate killer): discarded DNA does not require a warrant to be obtained, are we therefore moving into an era of genetic surveillance, a la Gattaca or a combination of AI and genetics as in Class of '09? Like AI, is it time to codify the use of 'discarded DNA'?
